Right Start
Right Start is a volunteer ministry offering where refugee and immigrant children can receive help with reading fluency and comprehension in one of our neighborhood Welcome Centers. Most importantly, Right Start is an opportunity for children to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ through gospel-centered books and interaction with Christian adults. The program is designed for children grades K-5.
This has been a popular ministry offering for families as it allows parents and children to serve together! You'll receive video orientation in the application process and support from our Right Start Coordinator and an on-site director. But it's essentially as simple as reading to children and patiently listening as they read to you.
