English Mentoring
English Mentoring is a one-on-one English teaching opportunity that addresses one of a refugee’s greatest needs in the familiar context of the home at a time that works with the refugee’s schedule.
Never taught English before? No problem. If you speak English fluently and you’re willing to learn, we’d like to equip you with a simple, user-friendly tool that can help you teach English effectively—and hopefully make a new friend in the process!

“Stephen is having a good time with his mentee, James (pseudonym; Democratic Republic of the Congo). Neither he nor his wife have jobs, and he has physical limitations. But Stephen says that every time he's at James’s house and sees how happy he is in his tough conditions, he sees his faith in Jesus because there's no other way they could be happy. They call Stephen, "Teacher." Stephen says that he always prays with James and that he asked James to pray in English this past time. To help w/his English learning, Stephen downloaded an AI app on his phone so he could practice English. ”
