2026 Events Calendar
“Come alongside!”
In the midst of a challenging immigration environment, we invite you to “come alongside” believers from immigrant backgrounds. “Come alongside” events are designed to help Christians in Greater Louisville understand, honor, and partner with these fellow members of God’s family.
Community Learning Opportunities
“Community Learning Opportunities” (CLOs) are for volunteers and non-volunteers alike! Refuge CLOs are training events designed to help us grow in subjects related to loving and serving our refugee and immigrant neighbors.
Volunteer Connection Event - Christmas Party
As a staff, we want to invite you to our Refuge International Christmas party! This will be a special opportunity this year to honor your sacrificial work, to connect with you over a meal, and to share with you some of the impact your work is making at Refuge. This event is free of charge as it is our way of saying thank you to faithful supporters of our ministry.
Who? Refuge Intl. V.I.P. donors, volunteers, and their immigrant friends.
Bring a Guest! It is not required, but if you have a friend or church member who might be interested in hearing about opportunities to invest in the ministry of Refuge International, feel free to invite them to join. We would love for this to be a time where your volunteers and students can fellowship together! You can send the following graphic to anyone who would like to attend and support Refuge.

Community Learning Opportunity - Afghanistan Revisited
Join us for special Community Learning Opportunity, “Afghanistan Revisited: A Conversation With Afghan Christians On Life, Ministry, And Migration To Louisville.”
Four years ago, following the fall of the Afghan government to the Taliban, Refuge had the privilege of welcoming seven Afghan Christian families to Louisville through Adopt-A-Family teams from four partner churches. Since then, these brothers and sisters have walked the long, challenging road of establishing new lives in America and charting new pathways for ministry that was begun in their country of origin. In this Community Learning Opportunity we will hear from some of these brothers and sisters regarding their experiences in life, church, ministry, and immigration to Louisville--and how we can partner with them in ministry today!
This event was formally billed as “Multicultural Worship Night”

Harvest Blessing Day
Blessing Days are a no-commitment opportunity to give a blessing to refugees and immigrants while learning more about Refuge.
We would love to have you join us for our special Harvest Blessing Day which will take place Saturday, November 1st, from 3-5pm. This is an updated date, so be sure to mark it on your calendars! We pray that this would be a time to interact personally with the Hispanic immigrant community in southern Indiana by sharing a meal together. We will be hosted by Eastside Christian Church where we will gather to learn more about Refuge, enjoy delicious food, and most importantly connect with and be encouraged by believers from immigrant churches in our area.

Ministry Support Dinner
This is our annual fundraising dinner and is the best opportunity of the year to get a full-orbed picture of what God is doing in and through our ministry. This year, the focus will be the impact that God has allowed Refuge to have on entire churches! And the food will again be catered by Safier Mediterranean Deli!
