  • Ben Hedrick

    BOARD CHARIMAN

    Ben and his wife Sarah have six children and live in Fisherville, Ky and are members at Commission Church in Shelbyville, KY. With a background in pastoral leadership, Ben served as Executive Pastor for a fast growing church for almost 10 years. He is Managing Partner at Plowshares Capital which is a strategically mission driven Real Estate investment group.

  • Chuck Stinson

    Chuck is a Kentucky native and an attorney at Kaplan Johnson Abate & Bird LLP. He and his wife Lacy have four children and are members Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Before entering legal practice, Chuck spent 10 years working as a foreign language specialist for the United States Air Force and the FBI. In addition to his day job, Chuck serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.

  • James Baumgardner

    Jim and his wife, Jacque, served as missionaries in Bosnia and Hercegovina for 23 years. Since returning the the US in 2022, Jim is happily redeployed working with diaspora churches in Greater Louisville, towards the goal of fostering ministry collaborations of mutual blessing between immigrant and nonimmigrant churches. 


  • Monica Deskins

    Monica is an HR consultant who partners with mission-driven organizations to build healthy, aligned teams. Her work spans talent management, organizational design, and HR systems, and she’s known for a holistic, people-first approach to development. At home, she’s married to Nathaniel, mom to two adopted daughters, and an avid explorer of culture—especially when it involves great food and travel.

  • Babak Rezaei

    Babak is the proud father of two boys, Wyatt and Alvin. He works as a science teacher with Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), where he enjoy helping students grow both academically and personally. Outside of work, he enjoys playing and coaching soccer, hiking, and writing poetry. He is fluent in four languages, which has allowed him to connect with people from many different backgrounds. He has a deep passion for serving immigrant and refugee communities. Having lived in multicultural environments and experienced the challenges of starting over in a new country, he understands many of the obstacles that newcomers face as they adapt to a new culture, learn a new language, and build a new life. These experiences have given him a heart for serving others, and he is honored to use his experiences, skills, and perspective to support the mission of the board and make a meaningful difference in our community.
